Previous Leicester Passion Play
Christ in the Centre is a major open-air re-creation of the Easter story. The play has been held in the centre of Leicester every Good Friday since 2003.
It regularly attracts audiences approaching 10,000 people, making it the largest such event in the country. It is a major piece of Christian outreach.
Its success has attracted the attention of many other cities, and spawned spin-off events in many locations across the country.
In 2011 the entire event was signed for the hard of hearing for the second time. This innovation was introduced at the suggestion of an audience member. So if you have any ideas that you think would improve the Christ in the Centre event please get in touch with any of the organising committee (http://citc.dioceseofleicester.com/) or mark accordingly in the subject box of our contact page.
