Join us on Good Friday morning (14 April 2017) for a dramatic retelling of the Easter story. All are welcome to this free, open air, community play, which will start at 11 am in Bedford Square, outside Tavistock’s Town Hall.
The Tavistock Passion is a dramatic portrayal of scenes leading up to the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus, scripted from the gospel stories by our Director, David Stranks, linked by original music by award-winning local composer Andrew Wilson. It’s a promenade performance, in costume, using five locations around the historic Parish Church and the Victorian civic buildings. On the day, there will be a chance to give to two local charities: St Luke’s Hospice and the Mary Budding Trust.
Under the leadership of Producer, Steven Martin, volunteer actors, singers and helpers have come together from across the community. Everyone is welcome to a short ecumenical service in the church at 10.15 am.
